Apparently, the technology to install the printer driver was spelled out in the technology behind compared with a few items that have a plug our gadgets-and-play, directly plugged into a laptop computer or gadget that can be used directly without installing the drivers manually from the driver CD.

Well, the complaint about the slowness of technology driver installation is now answered by Hewlett-Packard or HP, the printer manufacturer famous from the U.S. Recently, the HP in Beijing, China, launched a new technology called Smart Install.

Smart Install technology is similar to plug-and-play, or in the context of the printer name plug-and-print. In a demonstration that was held in Beijing, once the printer USB cable plugged into the laptop, the laptop instantly responds by displaying the dialog window contains a phase-phase installation should be done. Just click a few times, then performed the installation process. It s very simple because only takes about two minutes.

John Solomon from the HP claims that this technology was first implemented in the printer industry. A key part of the system plug-and-print this is to use the auto run function or run programs on your computer automatically.

Congenital drivers already embedded in each printer device. Currently it is only recently that some printer features Smart Install, and planned new printers will have this feature. Unfortunately, the plug-and-print can only be done on the computer with the Windows operating system. For other operating systems, still need to use the driver CD that came in the printer.
